Agia Jerusalem

On the rocks of Parnassos, at the entrance of the gorge “Varsamo” at an altitude of 850m there is the church of Agia Ierousalim in Amfiklia.

The route up to the cave is rather short and it can be done via the trail of the gorge of Keramidi. You can see the trail here.

This church is rumored to have been built in the 12^th century by Knights Templar of the 4^th Crusade. During the Turkish rule the church functioned as a shelter for the citizens of Amfiklia and there is a rumor that Odysseas Androutsos had set his watch here.
