Vargiani
The small “notable settlement”, as it is written on the sign at the entrance, with the beautiful stone houses and the flowing water from the Bourboula springs, rise from the impressive forests of west Parnassus.
With a history from the years of the Greek War of Independence in 1821, it featured two heroes Captain Liapis and Nikos Balaouras.
Vargiani, which is located at the north-west side of Parnassus at an altitude of 900 m., with very few permanent citizens, offers itself to anyone who wishes to have a breath of peace and oxygen and to enjoy homemade tastes at the two taverns that operate at the settlement.
