Arachova Trail – Big Route 21 km. (map)

The beginning of the route is Arachova’s High School and after the athletes have crossed the village up to the Ethnographic Museum of Arachova, it heads east for the next 5 km. The route continues with a north direction until the 11^th kilometer of the route. Then it continues to the west for the next 4 kilometers at the 15^th kilometer of the route. The route crosses parts of the mountain area of south Parnassos and more particular Petritis peak (1.924 m.) which rises north of Arachova. The highest point of the route is at the 14^th kilometer at an altitude of 1.873 m. The route continues with a southwest direction up to the 20^th kilometer, while then the athletes cross the Historical Site of the Battle of Arachova in order to enter the village. After they cross Egarsios, the athletes will be led through the streets of the village to Arachova’s High School, where they will finish the trail.
