Mountain Bike to Eptastomos
Activity info
Cycling tour to the southernmost glacier in Europe located on Parnassos, with the experienced team of Explore MTB Parnassos.
We start from the entrance of the forest in Paliovouna, where it is located on the provincial road Arachovas-Eptalofou. The route up to Eptastomo chasm is mostly flat with only 2 points having a slight incline of a short duration. Once we reach the junction to the glacier we head downhill to its entrance, where we will park our bikes. At this point we will drink water or eat a snack.
Then we walk for about 100 meters through the fir trees using the path that will lead us to the southernmost glacier in Europe. At the end of the path is the point where we can see the depth of the chasm as a point and take pictures.
Finally we get back on our bikes to make our way back to the starting point.
