Taverna Karaouli

Taverna Karaouli is located in the center of Livadi, Arachova, the famous mountain plateau of Parnassos. The owners and chefs –Giorgos and Efi create season related dishes based on quality produce, bringing out the best of the local cuisine. What makes this tavern stand out is its huge fireplace in the middle of the big hall.

A look at the menu

The menu suggests homemade dishes such as stifado – rabbit stew, lamb in a ceramic pot, veal in red sauce, soups such as the famous maghiritsa - (lamb soup with egg-lemon sauce), homemade pies and delicious appetizers,and of course, barbeque with the best meat from Roumeli (Central Greece).

It is spacious, which makes it ideal for parties and celebrations. The interior of the tavern is aesthetically pleasing due to its decoration of stone and wood. The three levels of the main room are flooded with natural daylight and its big windows see towards the panoramic view of Mount Parnassos.The Karaouli is the ideal place for weddings and baptisms, but also for companies’ parties.

Opening hours

From November 15^th till the end of April: Sunday to Thursday open at noon only
Friday and Saturday:open at noon till evening

From December 22^nd to January 6^th : it is always openat noon till evening.

From May to November 15^th: Friday and Saturday noon till evening, while on Sunday it only opens at noon.
